Euphorbia milii is a sprawling, succulent shrub, up to 6 feet (1.8 m) tall, with spiny stems. The stems are grayish-brown, brached, up to 3 feet (90 cm)long, 0.6 inch (1.6 cm) wide and found mainly on new growth. Th eflowers are subtended by a pair of conspicusious petal-like bracts, variably red (pink, yellow or whit), up to 0.5 inch across. It flowers over an extremly long season, throughout the year in tropical and sub-tropical locations, from late winter wll into fall if grown indoors.
